As a student in the Joy in Music Piano Studio, you will join other adults who are excited to learn piano or refresh their skills.
Adult piano lessons are a collaboration between student and teacher--an adventure in music making as we explore the piano together. You have desires and goals about music making; I have years of working with a variety of students and can't wait to help you!
Learning to play the piano involves sight, sound, touch and has the potential to fully engage our intellect and emotions. Recent scientific discoveries guide our journey; recreational music principles increase our joy!
Adults are invited to gather a couple of times a year to share the joys and the challenges of playing the piano. Sharing music with local retirement homes is another option for interested students.
Lessons are held inside the Starbird Piano Gallery at 525 Forest Avenue, Portland, Maine.
